kanisavaran is Founded in 2003 by Mohammad Kanisavaran, and Golnessa Mottahed. Kanisavaran is a Tehran-based multidisciplinary
architectural firm whose work is at the forefront of thinking, imagining, drawing, and constructing collective space.
We deliver a wide variety of project types, ranging in scale from art
installations to custom homes and villas and major urban buildings.

Over time, we have recognized and appreciated the inner
aspects of our practice. We understand that architectural
form is created only by an artificial act of imagination. This
act of imagination may express cultural aspirations, environmental
concerns, technological enthusiasm, or many
other ideals. The more inclusive the act of imagination,
the richer the architecture.
Architecture is not just designing a building, but a way of seeing, thinking, and making that expands and even transforms our experience of the world. To this end, in our research-focused studio, we intersect disciplinary lenses and generate valuable insights that help us emulate client ambitions and translate them into a responsive architectural story that aligns the vision with values for maximizing performance, format, and site constructio
