The project is located in a city in the northwest of Iran with a strong historical background. Our Main goal wasn’t just to design a space for the subway! We tried to design a public space that should have a good connection with historical axes. although the historical axes have historical buildings and these new buildings allow the city and its people to make a new space for a better urban life and also new experiences of walking, sitting, watching, reading, conversation and make a good relationship between people with their city.
There are four entrances to a station with high human traffic. our team decided to design a united style with united materials and united approach for four entrances but design different forms for all of them. we tried to Achieve different quality architectural spaces and create a variety of forms just with a united form and material. Change in the mathematical structure these volumes with different qualities to offer to the viewer.
the main concept Retrieved of Muqarnas in Iranian architecture and change Muqarnas to a modular form like a cube. After that, we expanded the module to make a new form. In interior design, the main concept Retrieved of Shabestan of Iranian architecture.
