Rolya Dish Showroom with 70 m2 space is located in Bazar, Tehran. in the historical places of Tehran surrounded by the traditional bazaar and historical buildings. The aim of the project was to design a new Showroom, considering the small size of the project and its location the main idea inspired by the urban context to transform the traditional elements into an architectural interior space. The neighboring buildings were the inspiration to use the same material for the Showroom.
In response to the rich history of the space and through the juxtaposition of industrial elements with handmade products, we sought to create a place that is both familiar and timeless. In addition, the main form is made by simple material such as Brick; a straightforward brick, carefully and thoughtfully deployed at Commune produces comfort and excitement, screen and effect, wall and veil in a design of simple yet powerful elegance.
Integration of volume and details in a wall with a traditional material inspired from Iranian architecture to introduce an identity for the project, and also, we indented to create an interior that looks as if it has always been there and feels instantly familiar. Chosen for warm brown, black and white tones and the use of natural materials and furniture items.
The brick wall is just like the original supporting structure left in view. The windows around the showroom are largely covered with white curtains. The floor consists of the crosscut ends of used wood.
